What We Do

We are a food storage, drying, and distribution company that sources products from smallholder farmers, whom we support during the season with input loans and training, so that they can be more productive. We transform the farmers’ produce into standardized, graded products that we sell across the country, to buyers who can be sure of the quality they receive.

About the Role

We are looking for a Food Quality Assurance Apprentice to ensure that all food processing meets rigorous standards of hygiene and quality by implementing HACCP policies and coordinating microbiological, chemical and physical controls. The successful candidate will spend a mix of time in our production facilities inspecting and implementing policies as well as collecting samples and coordinating hazard control tests with external parties. He/she will ensure our food manufacturing processes are safe by monitoring and controlling the production process from raw ingredients intake through to packaging of finished products for market distribution.  In this regard, the successful candidate should pay close attention to details, understand the importance of quality assurance and ensure they are respected at all times. This role is for someone who is a natural self-starter and is fueled by meeting personal targets.

Helpful Skill Sets:

• Ability to carry out quality inspection & internal audits.
• Demonstrate product or industry-specific experience.
• Have strong computer skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant local regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work with people, pay attention to detail, plan and organize projects.
• Superior communication skills both verbal and written.
• Perform data collection, management and analysis.

Education & other Requirements:

• A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science/Chemistry/Microbiology;
• At least 1 years prior internship experience;
