Duration of Contract: 10 months (renewable based on performance and availability of funds)

Terms of Reference

Reporting to: Area Manager 

Direct reports: N/A 


Overall purpose of the role:

Under the supervision of the Area Manager and in close coordination with all program managers the IM coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of all information management activities related to emergency response and ensure all data is kept up to date and safe.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Keeping all records updated including beneficiary lists, distribution schedules and distribution records.
  • Update the 4Ws tool on a regular basis.
  • Provide info on geographical locations and update it continuously as well as record all the GPS points for the efficient delivery of distributions.
  • Undertaking analysis including producing charts and maps
  • Develop distribution forms and keep track of distribution lists.
  • Develop when needed, distribution lists including basic identification information.
  • Ensure all data is entered and soft/hard copies are archived.
  • Any other task as requested by the Area Manager.
  • Deliver training on Information Management

Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)

  • Professional technical experience matching the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities. Ability to work with KoboCollect, SPSS and Advanced Excel desirable
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Information management.
  • Relevant educational background and knowledge of the humanitarian system
  • Knowledge and understanding of the complexity related to refugee and IDP situations.
  • Willingness to live and work in a challenging environment with limited resources

Education: (include certificates, licenses etc.)

  • University education and relevant experience in IT, information management
  • Advanced Excel skills / certificate

Languages: (indicate fluency level)

  • English (required)

Key stakeholders: (internal and external)

  • Area Manager
  • Program Managers 

Knowledge of context: Minimum 10 years working / studying / living in South West or North West Cameroon. Applications which do not demonstrate this will not be considered
